Happy Holidays!
Thank you for your interest in AIDS Project RI!
It has been a tremendous growth year for us, and we ask for your support to increase awareness about HIV prevention, expand community-based rapid HIV testing, and provide case management for people living with HIV. Highlights of 2012 include:
- Providing 950 Rhode Islanders living with HIV/AIDS with support services including oral health, benefits assistance, medical transportation, and other support services.
- Providing HIV testing to over 400 individuals and offering testing clinics at many of Rhode Island’s colleges and universities.
- Partnering with the YMCA of Greater Providence to offer free group exercise classes for people ages 50+ who are living with HIV.
We have big plans for the coming year, including expanding the number of HIV testing locations and creating a website to help
gay/bisexual men learn about staying healthy and finding gay-friendly doctors.
That’s why we need your help! Your generosity is vital and plays a huge part in our ability to make a difference in the lives of Rhode Islanders.
