AIDS Walk for Life is This Weekend!
It’s happening this weekend! The 27th annual AIDS Walk for Life!
Have you signed up? There’s still time! You can sign up on-line here. Or just show up at the walk at 9 a.m.
Some basic info:
When: Sunday, September 23, 9 a.m. until about noon. Rain or shine!
Where: The walk starts and ends at the State House lawn, on the Providence Place Mall side.
Theme: Grow Up Healthy and AIDS-Free! Get Tested for HIV!
Details:
- About 500 walkers are expected to attend this annual event, which benefits AIDS Project RI.
- There will be free anonymous HIV testing on site.
- Lifespan will administer free flu shots.
- Free massages and food and drink.
- Speakers include: the walk’s chair, Philip Chan, MD; AIDS Project RI executive director Tom Bertrand; Congressman David Cicilline; and the emcee, NBC 10′s Barbara Morse Silva.
